One of the academic goals of the Department of Education is for excellence. However, for the past years, the trend of the quality of the Philippine Education in the Secondary Education is declining.

 

            Our country needs to become competitive and in order to attain this objectives, something must be done to correct the continuous turning down of the quality of the Educational System. Thus, the performance of the students has to be evaluated for it is one way of solving problems by analysing the causes and pinpointing the effects of the entire system. There is a need to redefine and reshape the educational system in order to respond to the challenges of the 21^st century.

 

            The Sto. Niṅo High School, school head and teachers are also aiming for a quality education. The school provides greater concept, understanding, and appreciation of all subject areas to be applied to daily life. The school provides focus on teaching and stronger integration of competencies and values within and across the learning process, emphasis on the use of effective strategies for the development of critical and creative thinking skills.
